PDP Shocked As INEC Pronounce Engr Sule Winner of March 18th Guber Polls.

…Decries Absence At Declaration And Access To Collation Centers.

….To Reveal Next Line of Action Today (21th March 2023).

The Peoples Democratic Party says they were shocked to have heard INEC declared APC winners of the 18th March Nasarawa State Governorship election without them being present in the early hours of Monday morning.

Hon. Mike Omeri, the Director of Media and Publicity for Ombugadu/Ohinoyi Campaign Council stated this while addressing the press in Akwanga.

He further added the PDP would reveal it’s next actions of reclaiming its Mandate in Karu LGA on Tuesday 21th Match 2023.

“By ince admissions itself we would still have being preparing to go for the declaration, as at the time news filtered out that they had declared the results without us so we are in a state of shock as you can see but we are not confused we know that for every process there is a destination we know exactly what we want to do and I assure you that we would do what we can do for the people who have already taken a decision.”

On his part, PDP’S states chairman Francis Orogu, alleged that, the Ruling party denied them and other political parties access to the collation center in Lafia, which in turn lead to the PDP lossing.

“And you saw them practically denying us all privileges and opportunities to go and see what is happening in some areas.You can see all APC leaders line up as observers and Agents and thier insisting that one person only should go in from our party and other political parties.
In some cases, they even ask our Agents to go out of the hall and they froce them out using security .
Yesterday night, you are aware that the state SSG was at the Hall with two of this wards Gyam and Ciroma that was robbed outrageously and when we were going there same security from Government House were used to deny us access,so my prediction was right, because we predicted this would happen and this Man would fail and the people can see.”

On the general accessment , Orogu said the PDP did well and the record is there on INEC portal, however the results from Awe and Lafia marred everything.

“My accessment is there before the television , is just there on air, I don’t need to speak on it, you know that 90% of the elections was uploaded if not more than that, the election was standing by our side, they only use the last two local Government to destroy every victory that God has set for Nasarawa State and that’s not enough, before then many things happened in Keffi LGA, very outrageous votes , everyone knows what Keffi looks like and everyone knows the population of Keffi people and everybody knows what came out from Keffi didn’t follow the electoral process , but then they uploaded that and that did not stop us , even with that, our victory was still sure because the success of our voters and other Local Government overcame that, and they realized the only way they can succeed was to be brutal and the only way to be brutal was Awe and Lafia using INEC and Security Agents.”

In the election, Engr. Sule of the governing APC polled 347,209 votes to be declared as winner by the electoral umpire, while Dr. David Ombugadu of the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) polled 283,016 votes.
