NYG: Gold on the Bacon for Team Nasarawa In Hockey.

Hockey players of team Nasarawa are on track to win Gold in the ongoing National Youth Games (NYG) Asaba Delta State.

The Coach Zainab Sule tutored boys defeated North Central neighbors Team Niger 5-2 in the semifinals to advance to the grand finale slated for Wednesday 17 September 2024, at the Okpanan Hockey Pitch, Asaba state.

The young lad who have crushed all opponents to get to the grand finale will lock horns with Team Kaduna, who defeated Team Borno 3-1 in the other semifinals fixture.

As at day 9, team Nasarawa has won two medals, Sliver in Golf and Bronze in Para-shot put Events.

According Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, LOC, Chief Solomon Ogba over 6,000 athletes from 35 states plus the FCT are taking part in the 35 games, except Rivers State.
