NBBF ZENITH WOMEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUE: Royal Ace Are Going To Win all Games In Abuja — Coach Ojo Olusegun

Coach Ojo Olusegun Michael have hipped praises on players of Abuja base Royal Ace for winning 6 out of 7 games in the just concluded Zenith Women’s Basketball League Phase one at Lafia Sports Arena formerly Lafia City Hall, Lafia Nasarawa state.

The Gaffer made this known on Sunday Morning, 8th September, 2024,  immediately after his Girls crucial victory against Kada Angels of Kaduna winning 56-86.

I wouldn’t  rate them high yet, like I said the last time we are just starting, we are still building, we are yet to get the structure we want, but so far so good, they are my players, my family, my friend  I love them, they are giving their all and we have a long way to go”.

Reacting to the team’s only loss against Nigeria Customs 69-59 and a point win over Air Warriors 63-64, the conference strongest teams and how he intends to tackle them in Abuja, when the second phase begins (21-28 September 2024).

“Yes that’s the goal, I see my team winning all their Matchs, we need to go back and get our structure right, work on all our lapses”

On thier parts, Peace Anibi, Gloria Omale and Ruth Udueyin all believe that in the second phase the team will ball-harder .

“It’s not easy because we came together a day before the League , however most of us have been playing in the league and we are trying so hard to blend together  and push other teams so we can get the goal, we are going back home to work on our lapses and come back undefeated” Peace Anibi added

It’s been a wonderful experience coming out here, knowing fully well that we are a new team despite the much talks that we will be relegated, so I heard. Well every team here is Good, however they should watch out for us” Gloria Omale added

Am going to rate our performance 80% because this is not our full performance, but glory be to God we won some games however when we go into morning and evening training, we will come out better.” Captain of the team  Ruth Udueyin added
