Yusuf Abduallhi who will fighting in a Boxing ring for the first time in his life says his not intimidated or scared to be fighting on the Canvas.

He made this known today while speaking to Option Radio before his weighing in the boys 42Kg . “I feel powerful and am not intimidated despite this is the first time I will be fighting on the Canvas, am not intimidated “

This years NYG 2024 Boxing Bout is taking Place at St. Patrick College Asaba Delta State.

Meanwhile, Musa Usman age 12 who would also be fighting in the 44kg category bout is in doubt due to weight gain of 44.6kg, coach Nnamdi Osuji while speaking said he was surprise that on reaching Asaba on Tuesday he found out Usman has added a little, however his been working hard to make the weight. ” He has been running and we have put him into series of workout and also reduce the amount of food which he eats.”

Coach Osuji also added that the only female Muhammad Aish who made the Boxing team had to be dropped due to weight gain. “Aish ought to be fighting in the 44kg category but before we left Lafia for Asaba we found out she gain extra 6kg(50kg) so we had no option than to drop her.”

Speaking generally on his Young Boxers, Coach Osuji said his boys are good to go having gone through all the rudimentary Boxing maneuvers.
“They have good jams, quick leg works for beginner”

Benjamin Daniel President Nigerian Boxing Association while speaking to Option Radio said he wants smooth fights without delay. “I want smooth bouts without any delay and I want all coachs to corporate”

The boxing bout will commence later today 13th September, 2024 after the weighing of all categories in both Male and Female.
