NASHIA Advocates For More Enrollment Into It’s Health Scheme In Nasarawa North

Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) says it’s target is to capture 20% of the states population to archive it strategic goal before 2027.
“we will not get tired, we will continue moving from local government to local governments to ensure that we achieve our strategic goal come 2027, because our strategic goal is to be able to capture 20%percent of the state population” he said
Pharm. Kaki Maikudi the Director of Health Services Standard of Health Quality Control, NASHIA, made this known on Thursday in Akwanga Local Government secretariat during a one day sensitization programme for beneficiaries cutting across Nasarawa North federal constituency comprising, Wamba, Akwanga and Nasarawa Eggon

Pharm. Maikudi took time to explain to the to Beneficiaries in Akwanga and Akun Development Area on the health services rendered by NASHIA, such as, how to access health care when they visit accredited hospitals, complaints redressing system, to ensure that one is registered fully before he or she access health care,and lastly how the Beneficiaries and the agency can work in synergy.
The NASIHA sensitization also happened in Wamba, Nasarawa Eggon and the other local government areas of the state.
Moreso, Pharm. Maikudi caustiond those who are in the habit of passing their NASHIA cards to others to access health care services from accredited hospitals to stop and the accredited NASIHA hospital inturn should confrim the identity of the individual before administering treatment.
For individuals who are yet to enrol into the Nasarawa State Health Insurance scheme, Pharm. Kaki Maikudi encouraged them to do so for their health benefits.
On their parts the Beneficiaries appreciated NASHIA for the town hall meeting which created more awareness, on the benefit of health insurance to them, what facility to go to, and also the areas the Agency covers.
