Hon. Ovey Albert Bashayi Former Rep Candidate Withdraws Membership From NNPP

Hon. Ovey Albert Bashayi has withdrawn his membership of New Nigeria People’s Party(NNPP).

Hon.Bashayi Former House of Representatives candidate of NNPP Nasarawa North in 2023, made this known at a meeting with officials of the party in Nasarawa Eggon, Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the State on Sunday .

He stated “personal reasons and his inability to contribute to the party” as his reasons for withdrawing, however he didn’t indicate his next party destination or his political ambition. However, he said his going to fast and pray to seek God’s direction.

“It has become increasingly difficult for me to contribute and participate at the desired level. Hence to maintain the respect and integrity that I have for the association, I believe it is the right time to exist.

I do want to extend my deepest gratitude for the support, camaraderie and professional growth I have experience with the NNPP even as I step away from active membership, I will cherish the memories, skills and relationship I have fostered in the party.” He said in the letter

Before announcing his withdrawal, he commended the party’s officials for their support over the years, thereby reassuring them that it doesn’t affect his Non-Governmental Organization , “Oveysha Foundation” work relationship with them, since most of them are wards coordinators.

The meeting on Sunday had in attendance ward chairmen, Woman Leaders and campaign coordinators who hailed him for the new brand of politics that prioritizes people and community development.

On his party, NNPP Nasarawa-Eggon party chairman stated that Mr Ovey Albert Bashayi has no issue with the party, thereby wishing him well politically and also appreciating his human welfare kind of politics which doesn’t discriminate.

Highlight of the meeting was the handing over of withdrawal letter to the ward chairman of Ikka/Wangibi Tsaku Emmanuel and then to the Party LG Chairman.
