Akwanga Under-Pass: LG Diverts Cars and Buses Enroute Jos To Ply Low-cost, Chun Mada Road, As Contractor Promises to Address Damaged Road With Immediate Effect.

Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha Chairman Akwanga LGC has ordered vehicles coming from or heading to Jos plateau state to pass through Low-cost or Chun Mada Road in Akwanga Town from 27th August, 2024 till further notice.
The council Chairman made this declaration at an emergency meeting in his office on Monday Evening, according to him the diversion will enable Bauhaus Global Investment begin work on the Andaha road, which is part of the Under-Pass road project approved by Govonor Abduallhi Sule’s Nasarawa state Government .
On the challenges experienced the last time the Andaha road was partially closed with the heavy-duty vehicles damaging some portion of the road, he said the contractor who be working on one side of the lane while the heavy duty vehicles move on the other side, meanwhile Cars and Buses will ply Low-cost and Chun Mada Roads .

In terms of enforcement of the divertion , Mr Safiyanu Isa Andaha said a task force has been constituted consisting of Security Agencies, Road Unions, Traders, Mai Angwa of affected location along side the Youth leaders, Option Radio among others, with all logistics sponsored by the contractor.
On his part, Mr Niger Ibrahim of Bauhaus Global Investment the company handling the Akwanga Under-Pass promised that his company will finish construction in less then one year. He further assured those in attendance that before the completion of one side of the lanes another dirvertion would be created , that is the Jos Bypass from Mada Hill secondary school to Alushi junction once the final approval has been given by Govonor Sule.

On the issue of Low-cost and Chun Mada Roads Mr Ibrahim said his company will make some repairs to the damaged portion of the roads. However he pleaded with all and sundry to make the road construction faster, mostly to those selling and the transport Unions improvised Motopark.
