Match Day-4 lived up to expectation for both Abuja base Royal Ace and Home team Nasarawa Amazon’s with the highest points record so far in the Savannah conference

Both teams pulled a combined 156 points with the game ending Amazon’s 59-97 Royal Ace

According to coach Olusegun Ojo his Girls deserve Thursday’s victory at the Lafia Sports Arena formerly known as Lafia City Hall, ” We worked hard on our loss of concentration and fatigue in the second half and feel that they are blending more and the synergy is there”.

While acknowledging Nasarawa Amazon’s for a good fight, he asserted that his girls blocked thier chances by controlling the game with pace, shooting and Physical strength.

Royal Ace has won their last three games out of four(4) defeating Air Warriors 64-63, Plateau Rocks 44-53, Nasarawa Amazons 59-97 and losing to Nigeria Customs 69-55 on match day-1.

Coach Emmanuel Danjuma Mwarak of Nasarawa Amazon’s who lost his voice after the game commended his Girls for recording thier highest points so far, ” My Girl’s gave it thier all and you can see that we have greatly improved from our last matches, this Girls are rookies but I greatly believe in them, and they will get better”.

Nasarawa Amazon’s have lost their last three games having walked over Nigeria Army on Day-1 and falling to Kada Angels 53-47, Customs 68-30 and Royal Ace 97-57

Others Match Day-4 encounter saw Air Warriors defeat Plateau Rocks 68 vs 25

Plateau Rocks just as Nasarawa Amazons are yet to win a game.

Meanwhile Nigeria Customs remains the only team yet to test defeat, having defeated Newbies to league Titans 63-44.

The Zenith Women’s Basketball League First Leg climaxes on the 9th September 2024 with the second Leg slated for 21-28 September 2024.
