NBBF Zenith Women’s League:Nasarawa State Government has Reiterated It’s Resolve To Upgrade Lafia CityHall To A World Class Sporting Center.….. Sports is meant To Unify–Andoma

Hon. Jafaru Ango, Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development Nasarawa State has reiterated that the Governor Abduallhi Sule led administration is determined to modify the Lafia Sports Arena, formerly known as Lafia City Hall, venue for the ongoing Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) Zenith Women’s League 2024 first Leg.

Mr Ango made this known Wednesday 4th September,2024 at the Palace of Andoma in Doma LGA, when he led some players and thier officials participating in the NBBF Zenith Women’s Basketball League and Chairman Nasarawa State Basketball Association Ayuba Tijani.
” It feels good to have a sports loving Governor who has given the approval to remodel the CityHall and it will have Indoor games within, meanwhile around would house a Seven Aside Football Pitch, Swimming Pool and Hotel were players and athletes would stay to save transportation and cost”.

On how he feels that the State is hosting the first leg of the Women’s Basketball League, an excited Ango said sports brings unity. ” You heard what Andoma Said, Sports knows no Religion or Ethnicity, it’s really great hosting”.

The Andoma of Doma HRH. Alh. Dr. Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah Onawo OON, a veteran in the game, who received the players ,officials and Hon. Jafaru Ango, expressed great satisfaction to have seen them, thereby charging them to put in their best in the league, because sports accommodates all, “Basketball knows no tribe, even if you don’t know how to play, just watching You learn, Sports preaches peace and that’s why we initiated the Andoma Unity Basketball tournament which the 5th Edition was played last year.”

On his part, Nasarawa State Basketball Association Chairman Ayuba Tijani appreciated Gov Abduallhi Sule and the Ministry of Youth and Sports for providing a standard Basketball Court which has in turn attracted the League for the second season running.
