By Michael Umudjon

Adams Usman the new Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United has assured supporters and Management of the team of his readiness to return United to the elite division.

Coach Adams Usman who has a CAF B Licence and a native of Lafia LGA, Nasarawa State made this known on Wednesday 18th October, 2023 at the Lafia City studium after been unviled by the club chairman Dr Othman Ibrahim Ahmed and Team Manager Solomon Babanjah

I am delighted this morning to be unveiled officially to handle the affairs of this great team Nasarawa United, I am happy on behalf of my family I want to assure the people of nasarawa state the government of this state, my new management, we will work hard to ensure that this teams goes back to where it belongs to. ” he said

On his part, Chairman of the club Dr Othman Ibrahim Ahmed described United as living in a House Sorrow and needs to leave to play in the elite division, theirby charging Coach Adams Usman to bring in his wealth of experience into the team.

Right now we living in a house of sorrow, Nasarawa United is not where it suppose to be, this is a brand team, we are suppose to be where we rightly belongs with what we have read about the technical adviser and with day uninterrupted experience of the technical manager, I don’t know what I’ll say about myself , but that if we team up or put qualities, experiences and contact, it will not be a heavy task for us to return to the premiership.” he added

In terms of criticism, Dr Ahmed called on the Media and Fans of the team to do it positively because it will in turn help the team to grow.

And I want us to use this opportunity, people have left what they are doing to join us here to rejoice you, don’t just do this once and is done, pray for us, advise us, criticizes if you can that would be the best way to get your feet right, but if you think you are masterpiece you know if all you’re in the wrong place if it was all about one person then football be played by one person imagine the best player in the world with him against other Eleven he will not go anywhere and that’s the spirit that I have we going to remain United as the name stands and we will continue to do the right thing so that we can go to where I always say we belong to.

Apart from Adams Usman been unveiled as the Gaffer of Nasarawa United four board members, Solomon Babanjah, Team Manager, Idris Rilwan as Member, Former Nasarawa United player, Musa Adamu, and Musa Usman Oruma member , were officially presented to the press, supporters club and fans.

I want to say that I don’t want to commit myself to play now Well the unveiling just took place but we started before now i think we have been three weeks into this but I think this is just ceremonial for this would strengthen us to that we need to do more since the Eagles are here and they will tell the whole world, you know you fly higher then anybody and that’s why we can’t take you for granted, we need your contribution and advise.”

Nasarawa United, the state’s government owned club, will be participating in the 2023/24 Nigeria National League, NNL, which commences on 28th October, 2023, and is optimistic of making immediate return to the elite, after being relegated last season from the Nigeria Premier Football League.
