Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa Authentic Member Elect, Akwanga North Constituency Says INEC….Ven-Bawa Promises Holistic Reconciliation With State’s Deputy Speaker

All Progressive Congress (APC) Member elect for Akwanga North Constituency Hon Larry Ven-Bawa has applauded Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for returning his Certificate of Return as a member Nasarawa State House of Assembly”.

Hon Ven-Bawa gave the commendations after receiving his Certificate of Return on Thrusday, 4th May 2023 at INEC office in Lafia, the state capital, saying the electoral body did a no-Mans job by abiding by the Law following the Supreme Court Judgement in Abuja, which declared him winner, thereby rendering the Certificate of Return given to the state’s Deputy Speaker Hon Tsentse Dandura invalid.

He equally commended Gov. Engr Abdullahi Sule and Hon. Kwanta Yakubu for abiding by the Law, thereby promising to provide the necessary dividends of democracy to Akwanga North Constituency.

“Today because of the Supreme Court judgment, you have decided to as a Law abiding organization in Nigeria, today you have handed the certificate of return after a long tour, today is a reality am grateful and I promise this certificate is not just a symbol of celebration is to go and deliver what the people want, as our vision is Value Addition.”

I want to thank His Excellency for being also law abiding because through out the processes , is either he receives the certificate from you today and give to another person because the law says so, thank you your Excellency for the good work in Nasarawa State, and we would continue to support your administration.”

Hon. Ven-Bawa further said he would extend his hands of fellowship to the Deputy Speaker Hon Tsentse Dandura in a holistic manner towards reconcilation

“Like the state’s Party Chairman has said it’s going to be a holistic approach to reconcilation not only in Akwanga North Constituency and of cause, all of us, me and my brother Nehemiah Tsentse Dandura we all campaigned for APC, nobody left APC and nobody has left APC we are all in APC so that’s the good news, so we would continue to work together, infact am going to borrow from him, what he didn’t do, I would ask and complete it.”

While presenting the certificate of return to Hon. Ven-Bawa, Head of Department Election And Political Party monitoring Mr Shemsundeen Oyeyemi who represented the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the state charged Hon. Ven-Bawa to do the needful to his people.
He further added that with the certificate presented , it means Hon. Larry Ven-Bawa is the authentic Member elect of Akwanga North Constituency.
“In as much as another certificate has been issued today, this is a valid certificate,this nullifies whatever certificate that has been early given , because there can not be two certificates. Certificate issued was base on the court Judgement, Court Judgement supercede whatever, the frist has been issued this is the authentic certificate.” said Mr Shemsundeen Oyeyemi .

On thier parts Nasarawa State APC Chairman Hon John Mamman and Hon Kwanta Yakubu commissioner ministry of Environment and Natural Resources both commended INEC for abiding by the law, there by charging Hon. Ven-Bawa to represent his people well.

Hon Larry Ven-Bawa had top government functionary, party members, his family members among others who joined him to receive the certificate of return in Inec office Lafia.
